Our high quality, Sugar Cane Decaf uses the preferred, Sugar Cane decaffeination process which is known to induce sweetness in the end cup. This roast sacrifices nothing while still allowing you to wind down after a long day with a cappuccino in hand before bedtime. This excellent roast tastes almost indistinguishable from its regular, caffeinated cousin and is extremely well sought after.

We roast these beans at a “city+” to “full city” (medium to medium-dark) roast level, to bring out a mild chocolate sweetness with a hint of treenuts; this makes it an excellent match for espresso and bean to cup machines as well as milk-based beverages.

This is top shelf decaf – literally as good as it gets.
This roast delivers a semi-bold, flavourful cup and is suitable for all brew methods. Amongst these is Bean to Cup and espresso machines, which are well suited to this roast and pair very well with milk due to limited acidity and strong flavour.

Brewing recommendations

Our head roaster recommends enjoying this medium to medium-dark roast predominantly for milk based espresso drinks, particularly when using a bean to cup machine.

We always recommend ordering “whole beans” for that extra flavour and “crisp” freshness you won’t get from store-bought coffee. The Speciality Coffee Association recommends grinding only the amount of coffee to be used during the brew and grinding no more than 15 minutes before brewing. You’d be surprised the difference in freshness, aroma and flavour these changes will bring to your cup.
