Coffee supply for businesses

Good coffee, on a standing order

Most of our regular orders started by accident. Someone tasted a cup at the roastery, or a guest asked where the coffee came from, and a week later we were dropping off a few kilos every Friday. We already supply offices, small cafés and churches around Cape Town that way, and the arrangement is usually pretty casual. You tell us roughly how much you get through, we roast it fresh, and we bring it to you.

There’s nothing to sign and no minimum you have to hit. If your order needs to double in December and then halve again in February, that’s fine. December does that to everyone. We’re a small roastery, so you’ll be dealing with the person who actually roasts your coffee.

If you’d rather set it and forget it, we also run a coffee subscription that handles the ordering side automatically. Bigger accounts usually just message us instead.

For workplaces

Coffee for offices and small businesses

Office coffee has a low bar to clear. Most people have made their peace with something stale out of a catering tin, so a bag with an actual roast date on it tends to land better than you’d expect. Pick a coffee, tell us how often you want it, and we drop it off.

If the kitchen runs a bean-to-cup machine then whole beans are the obvious choice. Filter machine, or a plunger on the counter, and we’ll grind to suit. Plenty of offices take two coffees at once: something darker and chocolatey for the milk drinkers, and something brighter for the one or two people who have strong opinions about it. Add a decaf and the four o’clock crowd is covered too.

  • Whole beans or ground to match your machine
  • Weekly, fortnightly or monthly drops
  • Roast date printed on every bag
  • Decaf and a second origin alongside the house coffee
  • Free delivery in the Blouberg and Table View area

For hospitality

Coffee for guest houses, B&Bs and boutique hotels

Guests hardly ever remember the eggs. Bad coffee though, that one sticks, and in a small guest house the coffee is one of the few things you control from start to finish.

We supply guest houses and small hotels with coffee roasted in the same week it gets delivered. For in-room offerings we can pack smaller bags so nothing sits open for a month going flat. For breakfast service it’s usually whole beans for the machine, plus something ground for the plunger on the table.

The Blend of Life is what we normally point hospitality clients at first. It’s got enough body to come through milk properly, and it’s forgiving when whoever is on shift that morning isn’t a trained barista, which is most mornings in most places. If your guests are the sort who ask questions, a rotating single origin next to it gives them something to talk about at breakfast.

  • Small in-room bags or bulk for breakfast service
  • Blends with enough body to hold up through milk
  • The same coffee, tasting the same, month after month
  • Single origins if you want something to talk about

We supply local churches, small cafés and offices around Cape Town with freshly roasted coffee every week.

The process

Setting up a regular coffee order

You message us, we work out what you need, and then it ticks along until you say otherwise. In a bit more detail:

1

Tell us what you get through

A rough number is fine. Two kilos a week, five a month, “about a bag every Tuesday”. If you’ve got no clue at all, we start small and sort it out after the first month.

2

Pick a coffee

Most places settle on a blend. Come past the roastery and taste a few if you’d rather not commit blind, or we’ll talk you through what suits your machine and your crowd.

3

We roast and deliver

Everything’s roasted to order in Blouberg, so what lands on your counter is days old instead of months. We deliver across Cape Town, and it’s free in the Blouberg and Table View corridor.

4

Change it whenever

Busy season, quiet season, a new machine that drinks twice as much as the old one. Just message us and we’ll shift the order.

Equipment

Machines, grinders and the rest of the kit

Good beans through a bad grinder still taste bad, and a lot of offices and guest houses are stuck fighting a machine nobody has descaled since 2019. We sell refurbished commercial espresso machines and grinders, and we’re happy to look at what you’ve already got and tell you honestly whether it’s worth keeping.

If you’re starting from scratch, a bean-to-cup machine covers most offices and small guest houses without anyone having to learn latte art. If you’ve got staff who actually want to make proper flat whites, that’s a different conversation and a different machine.

  • Refurbished espresso machines and grinders in stock
  • Advice on what suits your volume and your space
  • Grind settings dialled in for whatever you run

What you get

What comes with a standing order

Roasted to order

Nothing sits in a warehouse waiting for you. We roast against the delivery, so the date on the bag means something.

One person to deal with

No call centre, and no account manager who has never set foot in a roastery. You message us and you get one of us.

Flexible quantities

Scale up for December, scale back in winter. Add a decaf for a fortnight and drop it again if nobody touches it.

Grind to match

Espresso, filter, plunger, or whole beans for a bean-to-cup. Tell us the machine and we’ll set it right.

Equipment backup

Refurbished machines and grinders if you need them, and an honest opinion on the one you’ve already got.

Something for the guests

Smaller retail bags for rooms or a shelf, so guests can take home the coffee they liked at breakfast.

Questions

Common questions

Is there a minimum order?

Not a formal one. A standing order starts making sense from about a kilo a week, but plenty of smaller offices and guest houses order less than that and it works fine.

Do I have to sign a contract?

No. There’s nothing to sign, so there’s nothing to cancel either. If you want to stop, just tell us.

Can you grind the coffee for us?

Yes, tell us the machine and we’ll grind to suit. Whole beans keep their flavour a lot longer though, so if there’s a grinder on site we’d push you toward beans.

How fresh will the coffee be?

It’s roasted against your delivery, so usually only a few days old by the time it reaches you. Filter coffee is at its best in the first two or three weeks. Espresso actually wants about a week to settle down before it hits its stride.

Do you deliver outside Cape Town?

We courier nationwide. Rates depend on weight and where you are, and we’ll quote you before anything ships.

Can we also offer your coffee to guests to buy?

Yes, plenty of guest houses keep a few retail bags on a shelf. Guests have usually just had a cup of it at breakfast, so it more or less sells itself.

Who we supply

Small places, mostly

Offices, small cafés, churches and a handful of guest houses around Cape Town, most of them on a weekly drop. Our own café sits at Laude Classic Cars in Blouberg, and the roastery itself has been going a few years longer than that.

We also run a coffee trailer at events and markets, so if you’ve got a conference or a launch or a staff day coming up, we can bring the whole setup to you instead of posting a bag.
