The Huila department of southern Colombia is celebrated as one of the country’s finest coffee-growing regions — high-altitude volcanic soils, ideal rainfall, and generations of farming expertise combine to produce coffees of remarkable depth and character. This Excelso grade lot, grown at 1,200–2,000 metres above sea level and processed using the traditional washed method, is a genuine crowd-pleaser: versatile, complex and endlessly satisfying.
The Excelso grade signifies carefully selected, larger beans, while the washed process brings out the origin’s characteristic brightness and clean, well-rounded sweetness.
Tasting notes: Milk chocolate, bright citrus acidity, stone fruit (apricot and plum), caramel sweetness, medium body.
Roast level: Medium to Medium-Dark
Process: Washed
Grade: Excelso
Origin: Huila, Colombia
Altitude: 1,200–2,000m a.s.l.
Best for: Espresso, bean-to-cup, filter, French press, Moka pot. Excellent with or without milk.

Recommended if you want something medium bodied and “rich” in flavour, without being dark and bitter. Pairs great with milk.
